(12) BEST for Rainy Days!

1:20:00 AM

In the Philippines, apart from the traditional soup, whether notable or homemade, there are several meals that are good enough (in no particular order) but better when raining. You agree or is it just me? All the freakin' time, above all else I crave and eat Pancit! I know it's just there all year round but come on, noodles have been a staple food in or out of the country and selling pretty well during this time!

Let's take (1) Pancit Luglog of Cafe Via Mare as one such example.

Served hot; needless to say, that melt-in-mouth bright orange flavorful sauce topped with shrimps, green onions, smoked fish, squid, sliced meat, chicharon, egg will keep you cozy and happy all day long!

I love Bag of Beans when it's pretty cold...
I swear, their (2) Shepherd's Pie is so delicious, juicy and comforting! Imagine meat, veggies, mashed potatoes and gravy in one.
My son is crazy over (3) bacon, as in everywhere. For him bacon makes his food very good; I'm just partial to not too limp that it would taste raw, but not too crispy as well, similar to below. Hard to explain, I know...
And being a (4) pancake freak myself, it will / should be on the table, breakfast, snack, dinner or whatever!

Beautiful ambiance there ^ been to Twin Lakes, Tagaytay?

How about (5) Fried Chicken?
Bad Bird FTW! Hmmm

Have only ate there twice and I love the safe to spicy chicken plus both the dirty rice and the corn on the cob with Kewpie mayo bonito flakes!

(6) Magnum, (7) Ice Cream plus delicious toppings, (8) Affogato or anything freezing, rain or shine? Yay! Think we will get along.

Unplanned night out with friends are the best! We just gather at times, talk life, swim and all. That said, we get alcohol and pulutan:

(9) Sisig - get refills + Beer or Wine at Vikings!
(10) Chicken Wings or check Tocino Wings in ConFusion Diner!
(11) Tiger Prawns or check Sugpo Con Mayonesa of Locavore!

Then here come (12) SWEETS to give you peace... *winks*

 Sapin-Sapin? YAAAS!

That's all for now. Tell me yours, I'll wait! ;)

  4. Rainy days call for sinigang and champorado in our house. :) I'll invite the boys for pansit luglog over the weekend because I haven't tried that and the photo looked very inviting. I have to agree with bag of beans. It's always our go to restaurant whenever we're in Tagaytay.

  11. We rarely go out when it's raining (hassle kapag kasama pa mga bata hehe) so I just cook chicken sopas, or pork sinigang. Most of you the restaurants mentioned here I haven't visited yet, lol. I'll take note of your recommendations! :)
