Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)

9:20:00 PM

There are several airlines who does offer flights to the USA. Eva Air is one, where we had our booking from Manila - Taipei - JFK  and back.

In case you want to browse their timetables for international flights, you will likely leave at about 12:40 PM (Manila Time), NAIA Terminal 1 then you'll reach Taipei by 2:55 PM, Terminal 2. Like I took EVA Air Flight 272 last May 3rd and spent about 4 hours in Taoyuan Airport.

International layovers aren't bad at all; it could also give you a glimpse of the country. I relatively walked the waiting lounges (C1 - C9) three times.

I exchanged P500 for an NT Dollar to eat Godiva ;)
Rate was 0.639000, was supposed to get NTD (New Taiwan Dollar) 320 but Mega Int'l Commercial Bank charged 30 per transaction.

Ended up getting a Milk Tea for 90 dollars...

  1. My husband went to Taiwan before but he's not fond of taking pictures so it is nice to see your airport photos. Akalain mo may Godiva pala, yung binili niya kakaibang flavor na chocolates na di ko maintindihan lasa. lol

  3. Sometimes I'm jealous of the airports in other countries, very developed and you can do a lot of things. 4hrs is a long time for me already. Good thing you managed.

  4. The airport looks nice, but the more pressing issue is: Sino 'yung gwapong nada-avengers mask?!?

  5. Not sure if this is the same airport where I got my flight stopped over on the way to Europe a few years ago but I really like their airport. It's very spacious, very clean. I wish we have the same caliber of airports here, too

  6. Other countries have really awesome airports, while on the other hand, there's the PH who became infamous because of the "laglag bala". I cannot believe how the previous gov't wasn't able to stop that, sigh! I hope there's an improvement to the new admin.

  14. It's so nice that other countries have super nice airports. Ours look so kawawa in comparison. Well, I'm still hoping we'd be able to reach the same level as the others. :)
