Summer in the City at Mandala Park

10:15:00 AM

Last Saturday, 19 of March was Mandala Park's 6th Weekend Market. The monthly celebration of homegrown food once again treated visitors to a slew of well-curated merchants that promote the local culinary scene. We came for a swim that day but I know the kids would have been dancing with Zumba Teacher Zin William Cabelin.

I wanted to try different from our last visit thus we quickly checked to see line-up of treats. The open spaces of Mandala Park still includes the social enterprise promoting the artistry and craftsmanship of indigenous communities around the country through their handmade woven products - Yakang Yaka Barter.

For first time visitors, weekend market veterans are back with their mouth-watering treats. Wash down Ribs Manila's fall-off-the-bone smoked ribs with Stanford & Shaw's refreshingly zesty ginger ale and the highly suggested scoop of Fog City Creamery's homemade ice cream. For International fare that's been given the local treatment, the old favorites with a couple of new names thrown into the mix. Gostoso Piri Piri is back with their Portuguese barbeque, joining them are Babci Kuchnia and their made-on-the-spot piegories, Cocina Peruvia with their authentic Peruvian dishes, Mister Delicious and their smorgasbord of delicatessen and Wrapped with their spice-filled shawarmas. Newbies Yen Yen Taiwan Noodle Cart, Ziazan Mediterranean Mezze, Bao Fusion Concepts and Eats Meets West satisfied our cravings.

I wanted to try Yen Yen but think most of the food has rice so I ended up with...

I was torn at first but I know I could go back to Punta (left burger + tacos) anytime, we chose getting (2) Classic Cheeseburgers of Eats Meets West. So hungry that I never had to chance to take photos when we got out order 10 minutes after... My kids and myself enjoyed it and will get "Burger Meats Bagnet" next time. The bread is soft, veggies are fresh and the dressings weren't too sour. They also have Gourmet Tuyo think that's also worth trying! I just love burgers very much... and they came out so delicious and juicy!!!

I also bought THC Chips... Sour Cream and Bacon are crowd favorites!

Imagining another chill afternoon at Mandala Park with musical guests, delicious choices of food and drinks and another amazing finds!
