Bert Lozada Swim School (BLSS) launches 2016 Summer Courses for us parents that our kids will truly enjoy...

The country’s largest swim institution announced the programs and schedules for their 2016 courses that  provide personalized and group teaching instruction to infants, children and adults through the Bert Lozada Swim System. The BLSS teaches water safety and survival  techniques as well as helps conquer one’s hydrophobia. Every student surely acquires the basic skills in survival swimming. At BLSS, everyone can swim.

Meet Coach Angelo, the COO of the Bert Lozada Swim School
He's Certified and educated at the World Swimming Coaches, United States Swim School Association, Australian Council for the Teaching Of Swimming and Water Safety and the Philippine Swimming Inc.
“2016 is our 60th year and we are excited to welcome both old and new students into the Bert Lozada Swim System this summer in over 60 of our venues nationwide!”

We also met Coach Anthony, the CEO of the Bert Lozada Swim School
In 1986, BLSS was known as the Lozada Swimming Specialists and Aquatic Services Inc. (LSSAS). He started coaching in 1987 but his formal introduction to coaching members of the national team happened when he assisted his father during the 1991 Southeast Asian Games where Philippines won 2nd Place. German national coach Loathat Matthes was the country's foreign coaching consultant at that time, saw great potention in Anthony that he recommended him to the German Embassy of the Philippine Sports Commission for a scholarship grant and pursue a Diploma course in swim coaching at the prestigious Leipzig Sports University - he was only the 2nd Filipino to have acquired coaching expertise from there.

In 1992, he was again a recipient of a coaching course at the Cystal Palace National Sports Center conducted by British Swimming. Swimmers who represented the country at high-level international competitions in Sydney in 2000 and Athens Olympic Games in 2004 were trained by Coach Anthony.

In 2008, Anthony ans his wife attended swim teacher's certification course in Australia (infants and toddlers) under the AUSTSWIM.

IN 2011, he started coaching triathletes and now a Certified Level-2 Triathlon Coach by the International Triathlon Union (ITU), Lausanne Switzerland.

Anthony will always tell you...”I am a Teacher and a Coach because I love my sport and what I do. My passion is to create an environment where my students and athletes will be able to learn and develop their God given talent in pursuit of their dreams and goals.”

For the late Remberto "Bert" C. Lozada, swimming is not just a leisure sport but also a means of preserving one's life. It encourages self-confidence, reliability, independence and judgement. Prior to getting an invite from Bert Lozada Swim School, I have already considered Swimming for my kids and myself. And it's true, BLSS is now the largest and best managed swim school in the country.

BLSS system is currently running in more than 60 venues nationwide. The system can be seen at various sports clubs, villages, hotels, condominiums, schools and companies. Pick the Programs best for you and the kids:

We weren't allowed to bring our own cameras in the poolside, the following photos were taken by BLSS Team / Official Photographer...

  5. Wow! What inspiring people! I believe, more than the business of a swim school itself, I find amazement in the stories behind whys and hows of the people behind it. Perfect example of "doing what you love and never having to work a day in your life". On another note, I would love to enroll my baby here. This is a life skill that my son needs (and something I can't teach).

  15. swimming is also my son's choice of the perfect summer activity, he simply loves the water and I have a hard time prying him away once he is in the pool. If there is a local branch of Bert Lozada Swim School here, I sure would like to give them a shot.
