GV MICHEL - Oatmeal of Australia

10:54:00 AM

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" - We simply get tired of hearing it but I know this advice will probably continue until we learn and recognize the true value of not skipping breakfast every single day.

I asked a doctor once what makes breakfast healthy and recalled - simple is totally better at times! Healthy meals, nutritious, quick and easy to prepare that we can eat or carry while driving, walking or when traveling to school or workplace. The objective is something to give us the energy until lunch time. Breakfast that contains the right amount of protein, carbs if we need much, even veggies or fresh fruits or juice.

In the country, people tend to eat rice from morning 'til night. Think GV Michel is trying to communicate to all Filipinos to see the benefits of oatmeal to our diet. Apart from giving energy, we know it supports good digestion, the grains are high in fiber and ideal to lower blood cholesterol levels. It's even a good source of protein.

In Century Park Hotel a week ago, Chef Zafra showed how to make Arrozcaldo (Congee), Ham and Cheese Croquettes and Risotto using oatmeal, not rice.

Chef Zafra, President of Atlas Culinary Institute, focuses on Asian Cuisine; A heart attack survivor, now focus on heart healthy living and choices.

GV Michel Oatmeal of Australia is a premium Australian brand that only uses high-quality oats brought by Dong-A Pharma Phils., Inc. (DPPI) since 2014.

Premium Rolled Oats - slightly thicker flakes that could keep us full longer than expected.

Instant Oats - made from 100% natural high-grade oats. GV Michel's are GMO and chemical free;

Organic Instant Oats - thicker and bigger flakes, chewy texture with more bite and mouthfeel. Also gives a very satisfying, slightly sweet and creamy taste. Also contains greater amounts of soluble and insoluble fiber compared with other regular sized oatmeal flakes.

Quick Cooking Oats - also made with 100% natural whole grain oats. They cook quick much faster than rolled oats, making breakfast preparation easy and fast.

Now available in major supermarkets and groceries nationwide at 200g, 400g and 800g.

DPPI President Amen C. Say considered Oatmeal very healthy that many Filipino families can benefit from. One reason why they picked up the product.

"There is a need to educate the public on the benefits of oatmeal." Say says. "The market is steadily growing. There is now more product offerings than before."

Mr Say himself eats oatmeal daily. For a quick morning fix, he would only add hot water, warm milk, chicken seasoning some days for his own version of Arrozcaldo. He even shared that we can make overnight oats using GV Michel. Just add milk or yogurt then choose probiotic or fresh fruits the next day.

The hotel chefs also shared (2) hearty recipes using oats... Check out the Recipes below to share with family and friends. Let's keep in mind that oats can replace rice on most of Asian contemporary meals. Healthier and the nutritional value won't changed a bit...
