One of my favorite books is Morgan Scott Peck's (American Psychiatrist and a best-selling Author) The Road Less Traveled - A New Psychology of Love, Traditional Values and Spiritual Growth.

M. Scott Peck. M.D., best known for this first book, published in 1978.
I read the book 15 years ago - a year after college graduation and brought me to a lot of observed values in life. Apparently, I don't have it anymore but here's the cover:

"Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult - once we truly understand and accept it -then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters."

I won a Mothers' Day Contest years ago when I told them that LIFE ISN'T EASY, BUT WE CAN ALWAYS CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY!

We all got personal vision statement that guides our lives - the book will help you create your vision of a good life!

The Author has emphasized what true love and not. You will even remember the terrifying principle that to love another, we must first love ourselves.

It is also a good path to unconditional self-acceptance. We normally celebrate accomplishments but at the end of the day we have to accept our shortcomings too.

There's this one effective traits of every successful people - "Delayed Gratification" that was also mentioned on the book. I just believe that if we can delay gratification, it is a variable value for a promising life and style.
Reading can make us a better person hence I highly recommend The Road Less Traveled!
