Kumon Press Launch 2012

5:09:00 PM

I feel honored to be invited to the Press Launch of Kumon Philippines held yesterday at Chateau 1771, Greenbelt 5. I enjoyed the food, superb service and the ambiance.

The event was hosted by Ms. Marjorie Mendiola and co-presented by the following:

(From L-R): Ms. Inna Duller - Public Relations Division Leader | Mr. Henry Tenedero - Education Reform Advocate | Mr. Tadashi Nakatsuka - President of Kumon Philippines, Inc. | Ms. Susie Tsoi - Kumon Instructor and Mr. Allan Aguirre - Communication and Human Capital Group Leader

Kumon was introduced to all of us that afternoon. The things I value most in life are health, education, religion and my family. As a Mom, I am proud to tell everyone that I work and will be more than willing to do everything to get my children a promising future, together with my ever supportive husband, of course!

I've read and heard a lot about Kumon Philippines, Inc. but I appreciated the programs more just yesterday for I haven't really gone through visiting their centers yet. For everyone's information, the Kumon Method was developed in 1954 by the late Chairman Toru Kumon and brought to the Philippines in 1982.

The Kumon Method is an individualized learning method. The starting point for each Kumon student is determined individually. Students start at a level where they can attain a perfect score by studying on their own.

The Kumon Math and Reading Programs equip each child with the skills needed to reach his/her potential. Through  daily study of the worksheets, children acquire strong academic abilities and a solid foundation to prepare them for life.

The Kumon Logo - the face inside is the "THINKING FACE"
It represents the faces of children who learn, think and grow within KUMON Centers.
Kumon Blue represents intelligence, honesty and the sky that stretches across the world.

K - indness movement
U - nderstanding the child
M - astery of the basic skills
O - n their own
N - o two children are alike

KPEPS 2012 (4th year) is happening on May 19! See my previous post for more details.
